We have many fond family memories shared with Dottie & Lou. Their daughter Carol (our wonderful daughter in law) & our oldest son, Mike, and our shared granddaughters, Courtney & Dani. Beautiful times at Courtney & Bill’s wedding and just last April dancing and enjoying
Dani & Patrick’s wedding. Dottie was blessed to have special moments recently with our beautiful new Great Granddaughter, Ava Marie, first born of Courtney & Bill Meindl. We will treasure all the happy times together sharing meals at Mike & Carol’s beautiful and always welcoming home in Buffalo Grove, IL Dottie you will be missed in person but you will always be in our hearts. May you rest in peace. God bless you and your husband of 65 years and all the family. Love & Prayers, Geri & Warren Rogers. Manteca, CA

I will miss Dotty very much. I sent her and Lou an annual holiday letter and always received back a lovely sweet letter from Dotty. She and Lou will always be near and dear to my heart; they were one of only a few couples who maintained friendships with both my parents (Pat Cohler and Harry Schiff) after they divorced in 1979. I found great comfort in that continuity.
Since I knew the Guthmanns from the south side of Chicago as a child and then as a teen and adult when we all moved north, my relationship goes back 60 years. I have fond childhood memories of getting together with the whole Guthmann clan and later memories of Dotty as a supportive friend as my family circumstances changed and then my parents both passed away. She was a connection for me, to both of them and to an earlier time in my life.
May her memory be for a blessing.
